This week long Summer School will bring to life the enchanted world of Whoville. Your child will go on an exciting journey packed with song, dance and improvisation. They will make some great new friends along the way taking their cues from The Cat in the Hat, as he acts as the MC to steer us through the world of Dr Seuss and his well loved characters.

Junior Summer School, for 5-8/9 year olds, is led by a young, energetic team of actors, musicians and dancers who will inspire and encourage your child. We can assure you there will be plenty of laughter throughout the week and parents are invited along on the last day to see the dances and hear the songs, laugh along with the 'drama' and view the avenue of pink palms, not to mention the green eggs and ham, made in our craft workshops.

With story-time, play-time and film-time also included in the basic programme of dance, song, drama and improvisation, we can assure your child of a magical experience, one they will want o repeat time and time again!

Dance: working with our specialist team, we will teach the children dance routines and movement.

Story Time/ Making a Drama: Taking story time to another level, your child will become part of the story! We take the Dr Seuss stories and then work on making even more of a drama of them with the children.

Sing: Working with the team, your child will learn some of the fabulous songs from Seussical the Musical, set in - you guessed it - Whoville!

Arts and Crafts: Working in groups, children will start to make their own visions of Whoville; green eggs and ham and the legendary pink palms to set the scene for the Cat's birthday celebration on Friday. We wont, however, be asking anyone to eat green eggs and ham!

Other Whoville adventures will include: Where in Whoville did that pesky Cat hide it?: follow the trail to find out where the Cat in the Hat hid all the treasure and win a prize, Become the Cat: face painting, we will be sending your 'Cat' minus his or her hat home to you tonight! .... And finally... the Whoville Movie Theatre: your child's chance to catch up on what's going on in down-town Whoville.
